The Educational Action Digital Library is a thematic repository specializing in Educational and Youth Rights. Its mission is to collect, organize and make available information and qualified knowledge to expand and promote reflections, actions and practices on educational and youth rights. Initially, the repository will make available digital content produced and accumulated over the years by the non-governmental organization Ação Educativa. From this initiative, it is intended to expand and strengthen a dissemination network of thematic information on educational and youth rights with various social actors such as: educators, researchers, actors working in NGOs, educational agents, public administrators, youth groups and other interested parties.

This Thematic Repository is part of the initiative of the Free Access to Information Movement promoted by the Brazilian Institute of Information in Science and Technology (Ibict), an agency of the Ministry of Science and Technology, aiming to promote the constitution of a new ethics in access to the production of scientific knowledge Brazilian. The content of this repository is integrated with the Brazilian Portal of Open Access Repositories and Journals, which allows, through a single interface, the simultaneous search in several digital repositories and electronic scientific journals that use the OAI-PMH protocol. The Educational Action Digital Library is the 1st initiative implemented in the context of Brazilian NGOs, using the Dspace platform - an innovative technology that ensures the organization, preservation, recovery and dissemination of digital content.
